The HICOR Data Repository combines claims data from major payers in Washington state and state cancer registries to be used for the following research or reporting projects:

Cancer patients 18+ in WA state

Years available: 2011-2021

~70% of cancer cases in WA

Links claims and registry data

Access requires DUA and IRB approval

Data is updated annually

Population Explorer Tool

The HICOR Population Explorer Tool can be used to determine if a population of interest is available within the HICOR Data Repository. Use the tool to interactively explore and filter data.

    • Registry data can be delayed. The most up-to-date registry data is 2 years old.
  • Data Request Process
    • Determine project feasibility using the HICOR Population Explorer tool.
    • For a more specific population, complete the HICOR Data Feasibility Request Form.
    • Meet with HICOR Data Team to obtain a cost estimate
    • Obtain IRB approval
    • Submit a Formal Application for HICOR Data
    • Submit compliance documentation
